Cafreal Masala/ Multipurpose Green Masala



 Multipurpose  Green Masala / Multipurpose cooking paste is a super special cooking paste with which you can cook so many dishes very easily and quickly, savings alot of your time...
You dont have to grind a green based cooking paste everytime you cook a meal as this paste can be made and stored in the refrigerator for weeks...

Ingredients:

1 bunch of fresh coriander leaves 
4 green chillies 
9 Garlic cloves 
1/2 inch Ginger
4-5 black pepper corns
8 cloves
1 & ½ Inch cinnamon stick
1 tsp cumin seeds
½ tsp turmeric powder 
¼ tsp salt
½ tsp sugar
Small tamarind ball ( skip if using vinegar)
40 ml of Water or Vinegar or as required*( see notes)


Directions :

  1. Put all the ingredients into the blender, add the coriander leaves, roughly chopped and water or vinegar as required.
2.Blend to form a fine paste of a thick consistency. 

3.Store in a glass Jar & Refrigerate.



Recipe Notes:

  • * You can also skip the tamarind and grind the masala with Vinegar instead of water or a mix of both. Adjust the vinegar according to the sourness required by you.
  • This Multipurpose paste ground with vinegar can be stored in the Refrigerator for 2 to 3 weeks and can be stored in the freezer for upto 6 months.
  • This paste can be used as for cooking gravies,  or as a marinade for various dishes.
