Sheera/ Shira

This Tea time Sheera recipe is so easy to make, with basic ingredients available in your kitchen. I am sure you will love this simple recipe.
Ingredients 
1 cup fine semolina ( Rawa)
½ cup Sugar
6 Tbsp pure butter ghee ( pure ghee)
½ tsp Cardamom powder 
½ cup milk
1 & ½ cup water
Cashews nuts ( Optional)

Directions:

1. Boil ½ cup milk and 1& ½ cup water in a vessel and set aside. 

2. In a heavy bottom pan on low flame, Roast Semolina with 5 Tbsp of Pure ghee till fragrant and light golden.

3. Next add sugar, Cardamom powder,  hot water & milk. Mix well and stir continuously so no lumps are formed .

4. When the Shira starts leaving the sides its ready. Add 1 Tbsp of ghee and mix well.



Garnish with your favourite dry fruits & serve warm.

Recipe Notes:

You can add any of your favourite dry fruits like, almonds, pistachios or raisins.
You can also add a few drops of food colour to the Shira.
