Easy Rabri Recipe

 


Prep time: 5 mins.      Cook time: 15 mins.
Cuisine: Indian            Serves : 4 

Rabri is a sweet, condensed-milk-based dish, originating from the Indian subcontinent.

Ingredients 
500 ml  milk (full fat)
2 slices of bread
1 Tbsp sugar
½ cup Condensed milk
¼ tsp Cardamom powder 
Few strands of saffron ( Optional)
Few Pistachios to Garnish  ( Optional)

Directions:
1. Cut the side crusts of the bread and grind it in the mixer to form fine crumbs & set aside.

2. In a deep bottom pan, pour milk and bring it to a boil.  Next add the bread crumbs, sugar and  Condensed milk, stir continuously on low to medium flame for about 10 mins.

3. Next add the Cardamom powder, saffron strands and mix well for 1-2 mins. The Rabri is ready.

4. Remove the Rabdi in a bowl and Garnish with pistachios or Almonds or Cashews nuts.  Refrigerate it and serve chilled.


Recipe Notes:

Make sure the Rabri does not stick to the bottom of the pan.
