Serradura
Serradura, also known as sawdust pudding, is a well-known Portuguese dessert. It is made with a simple combination of whipped cream and crumbled Marie biscuit.
Ingredients:
300 ml heavy whipping cream
1/2 tsp vanilla extract ( Optional)
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
8 Marie/ Tea biscuits (powdered)
1 tsp cocoa Powder
1/2 tsp vanilla extract ( Optional)
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
8 Marie/ Tea biscuits (powdered)
1 tsp cocoa Powder
Directions:
1. Crumble the Mari/ tea biscuits in a food processor with 1 tsp of cocoa powder and set aside.
Recipe Notes:
- Make sure to use chilled whipping cream for this recipe.
- Don't make the biscuit layer too thick, because they need to get moist after a few hours.
- If you don’t have an electric mixer, you can use a blender. Put the chilled fresh cream, vanilla and condensed milk in the blender and blend until the cream is whipped. ( but be careful, if you over blend/whip the cream it will turn into sweet butter).
