Fresh Cream frosting

 

Prep time: 8- mins.
Serves: frosting to decorate 1 layer cake.

Ingredients:

600 ml Double fresh cream ( chilled)
1 Cup icing sugar ( sifted)
1 tsp vanilla Essence 

For chocolate Frosting 
Sift in ½ cup Cocoa Powder with the icing sugar

Directions:

1. In a mixing bowl, beat the chilled cream until frothy with an electric mixer.( *see notes)


2. Gradually add in the icing sugar and vanilla while beating. Whip until stiff peaks form, it should be light and of a thick spreadable consistency. 


3. Spread/ Decorate immediately & Refrigerate

Recipe notes:

  • Always use only, whipping cream, double cream or extra double cream to make the frosting.
  • Make sure to remove the cream from the fridge just before making the frosting.
  • If your adding any colour to the cream, add it with the vanilla essence.
  • You can add 1 Tbsp of Cornstarch to stabilise your fresh cream frosting.
