Fried Chicken Fillets

Fried Chicken fillets are the ultimate comfort food. They are crispy, juicy and packed with flavor – This is so quick to cook and so much easier to make at home than you think. All it takes is just some basic ingredients available in your kitchen to give you that perfect restaurant style chicken fillets.

Ingredients:

500 grms /2 large boneless chicken breasts 
½ cup flour
½ cup breadcrumbs
2 eggs whisked
2  Tbsp ginger garlic paste
½ tsp pepper powder
1 chicken stock cube
Salt to taste
Oil for frying

Directions:

1.  Lay the breast on cutting board with smooth side facing upward. Slice carefully horizontally into the thickest round edge, slicing into two equal pieces/ parts. When finished you should have 4 breasts of relatively equal size.

 
2.  In a bowl, mix together ginger garlic paste, pepper powder, stock cube and salt. Apply the mixture on the chicken fillets. On your countertop, place a long strip of plastic wrap place the fillets in and cover over with the wrap. Use a mallet to pound the fillets thin until they are of almost uniform thickness.

3.  Mix together the flour and breadcrumbs in a plate. Next Dip the Chicken fillets in the whisked egg  and then coat it well in the breadcrumbs & flour mixture.


4. Shallow fry the fillets, on low to medium flame for about 5 mins. on each side or until golden brown.

Enjoy Fried Chicken fillets with Potato Chips or your favourite salad.
