Chocolate Chip Cookies

An easy and scrumptious Chocolate chip cookie recipe, that will surely make you ask for more. It's Soft biscuit and melting Chocolate, make it just the perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies to enjoy at Tea time or any occasion.

Ingredients

150grms salted butter (Softened)
80grms Light brown sugar 
80grms granulated sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 Egg
225g plain flour
½ tsp soda bicarbonate 
150 grms plain Chocolate chips or chunks +
50 grms Chocolate chips for topping (Optional)


Directions 

1.In a mixing bowl, put softened butter, light brown sugar and granulated sugar,  beat well until creamy.

2.Then, beat in 2 tsp vanilla extract and 1 egg until a bit fluffy.

3. Next, Sift in 225g plain flour ,½ tsp sida bicarbonate and mix it with a wooden spoon.

4. Lastly, add chocolate chips or chunks and mix well.

5.Line baking trays with greased baking paper, and use a teaspoon to make small scoops of the mixture, spacing them well apart on the baking trays. Top with some chocolate chips ( optional).

6.Bake in a pre-heated Oven at 190C/fan 170 C/ Gas mark 5 , for about 10 mins. or until they are light brown on the edges and still slightly soft in the centre when pressed. 

7.Leave the cookies on the tray for 2 mins to set and then lift onto a cooling rack.

Recipe Notes:
  • For the best results bake the cookies on the middle rack in the oven and always make sure the oven is preheated.
